Thematic Trail in Ritten/Renon
The Thematic Trail in Ritten/Renon is a roundtrip walk during which participants can learn new and interesting things about the Ritten/Renon and its geological characteristics. But not only the information signs along the path will catch your interest: You're sure to find the magnificent natural scenery along the way more than impressive. You'll walk through a beech tree forest, cross a brook, and continue on down to the "Earth Pyramids" (a bizarre geological formation.) After a short rest-stop, you can resume your hike, passing by the Pranzager farmstead and St. Jacob's Chapel, going uphill to Maria Himmelfahrt / Maria Assunta, and then returning to your starting-point in Upper Bozen / Soprabolzano.
